Like Mist
From the corner of my eye I saw her
like mist
floating
Her white tendril fingers reached out to me
cold as ice
I shivered
Her sad whispering voice sang to me
of love
everlasting
I let her take me into her sweet embrace
a kiss
so tender
I stayed with her, all time forgotten
I'm lost
forever
She passed the way of unliving on to me
and then
she left
My restless soul will never find peace again
always
searching
My loneliness drove me to seek out others
to hunt
the living
From the corner of her eye she saw me
like mist
floating
My white tendril fingers reached out to her
cold as ice
she shivered
