A anime type ink drawing I entered in an art contest. I didn't win, but it was worth a shot. As for the picture itself, I tried something a little different by starting out on a celtic type knotwork for the background, but I quickly got tired of doing all those little lines and couldn't keep them straight either. 30 minutes later and suffering from a cramp in my hand, I gave up on the background idea. If anyone has tips on doing a repetative border like that that looks regular, neat and is fairly quick, I'd love to hear about it. (Ink lineart)

I understand the pain of perfection and how you want the lines to look straight and symmetrical, but I actually think that its imperfect border makes it look better than a perfect one would, simply because not every drawing or sketch is as adequate as the border may be, and that would make the mistakes REALLY stand out.
9 May 2004	Christine S. Garner	Loading... I admire your ability to even attempt Celtic knot work, because it is very complicated to do. I don't know of any short cuts sorry, but I think its a matter of practice makes perfect.
