It takes something upstairs and more than good looks,
To keep you in favor and from getting the hook...
Cause beauty fades and only goes so far,
At the end of the day it aint worth spit in a jar...
A lesser man won’t see wisdom in this,
But one of the worlds will testify to wit...
Someone who’s seen and been there before,
All the wiles of women whose looks men adore...
It’s a superficial attraction that doesn’t run deep,
Shallow and transparent causing men to take a peek...
They’ll dress to the nines, net stockings and all,
Pretentious and pretty, holding some in their thrall...
By way of their image they seduce and sway,
Using nature as leverage, they get the weak to obey...
Cruel and self-serving most of these are,
Seeking attention and a look from afar...
With the bat of an eye or a turn of the hip,
Men melt at the sight as a smile spreads her lips...
Cunning and knowing they give you the stare...
‘‘Come hither you fool and get caught in my snare...
Ill chews you up, and spit you out,
Ill suck you dry then turn you out...
I’ll take you down as far as it goes,
You’ll be living in hell and won’t even know''...
“Blinded by beauty you weren’t even aware,
While I was taking you there, I was’ ‘taking'' you there??...
I deceived you well, you couldn’t even tell,
That my body abode here while my feet were in hell”....
Yea that’s a real nice trick, but I was wise from the start,
How you played with my feelings and stomped on my heart...
All this is true, but who’s fooling who?
You think you’re playing me, but I’m really playing you...
Can’t you see pretty girl, you’ve made cause with the man...
Who walks to and fro, and up n down in the land?
I’m just checking my traps, and setting my snares....
And sampling the help whenever I care...
