I can't really call him a pyromaniac as he doesn't start fires... more like, the fires start him, if that makes any sense.
There's lots of interesting stuff to say about those swords (and about everything but I don't want to spoil the story)... like, where he gets them. You don't see him carrying them around in every drawing so we can safely assume he doesn't have them at all times. But still, they're always in his reach. In the Dreamworld, if you're strong enough, you can form objects or manipulate basically anything (even time) around you and that's exactly what he does. The best way to create something is to link it through your emotions and he almost reflexively calls the weapons when he's angry and sad.
Now, with a bit of thinking, you can almost tell what's going on. ;)

wohah, someone here played to much computer games ;D at least that was my first thought when I saw this pic. Like it a lot though. The perspective is very good and the fire behind that guy looks very real and hot though the swords could be brighter. The darkness of the rest really adds to it and the rain is also well done and adds a lot to the atmosphere although you hardly even notice it. (Hope this really IS rain...)
I think I'd really like living in that kind of world *grin*

Whoa. WHOA. WHOA! That perspective is absolu-freakin-amazing. I would not want to be the person he's swooping down on.

I agree with above commentor that the fire needs to be a bit brighter. I know you mentioned that it's supposed to be dark, but it seems almost solid. The fire he's trailing is just right -- the heart of it is nice and glowy. Now that I think about it though, the perspective mixed with the (amazingly perspectived) rain might make the swords darker, but fire has a way of showing up from far away. It's glowy, you know.

Anyway, amazing, amazing. Where do all these gorgemous images come from? ^_^

:-) Terhi Lehkonen replies: "Being stubborn, I still stand my ground though. It's in the story, it's the idea. The swords are so dark that the fire is dark, too. About the solidness, on that I agree. I would fix it if it was a part of my nature to poke earlier paintings.

Thank you, thank you lots... ^_^ I think... me?"

It’s a very cool perspective you’ve come up with there!

If he can control the fire that would make him a pyrokinetic... I think. I like the feel of motion in this

:-) Terhi Lehkonen replies: "Well, it’s questionable if he can control it really. If he controls the fire, it means he controls his emotions. And in this situation I wouldn’t say he’s doing either. 10 Thanks. 2"

wow that is amazing, how you’ve done the perpective, and the flames are so realistic . reminds me a little of ghostrider, except this looks far better. *i didn’t think much of that film, though the special effects were good.*

:-) Terhi Lehkonen replies: "Thanks. =)"

Wow. Just... wow. The rain is what makes this picture. Love the angle, and the fire, of course. ^.- I always love your colors. Hahaha.

:-) Terhi Lehkonen replies: "Thankies. 1"
