SciFi and Fantasy Art The Starbird by Heather L. Kidd


	I came up with a legend-ish thing about these birds--maybe I'll write it up and put it in my Wyvern's library sometime soon. The pic has quite a few flaws, but I like it. Done entirely on a computer, when I was playing around with my new Graphire2 tablet (I love my tablet).

I didn't get the wispy, ghostly appearance of this one with the blue one, and I'm not quite sure how this one came out like that. I'm glad you like it. "

15 Sep 2003	Christy 'Star StormDragon' Pasqualetti	Loading... Ooh, this one's awesome! I especially like the head, the way the neck twists and you can see the feathers and stuff turning with it. Definitely very ghost-ish. Heather L. Kidd replies: "Eeee! Feathers! The ghostly effect was what I think I was going for in that pic (though goodness knows it's been a long time since I did it). Thanks for commenting!"
16 Sep 2003	Tree Slug	Loading... Very cool pic, it seems simple but there's a lot of eye catching depth that just pulls you in and wont let go. The only thing I can suggest is keep experimenting and improving, not that you need much improvement. Heather L. Kidd replies: "If you want to see what evolved from this, see the Blue Phoenix picture. I couldn't smudge as well in that one, for some reason, though. Eh... anyway, I had fun doing this one, and I am always trying to work on more and improve my art. Thank you for commenting!"
8 Aug 2005	Bird Boy	Loading... Im a huge fan of mythical birds, so i had to like this one! Great detail, and ghost-ish look to it. 2 Thumbs up!
11 Oct 2005	Amanda Lewin	Loading... This is really nice, kinda ghost like especialy with the eye. I really like birds but never seem to be able to make the feathers look right.
