A scene from J.R.R Tolkien's Silmarillion: ....... he (fingolfin) fell backwards before the feet of Morgoth: and Morgoth set his foot apon his neck, and the wieght of it was like a fallen hill. Yet with his last and desparate stroke Fingolfin hewed the foot with Ringil............Thus died Fingolfin, High King of the Noldor, most proud and valaint of the Elven-kings of old. If I get the time I will add a proper background with Angbad and all the rest....hmmm not sure...

Morgoth finishing off fingolfin is cool and i think they should make some more lord of the rings movies but at the 1st age with morgoth, kinda like what they did with star wars movies and made the last ones first and the first ones last, thatd be sweet if peter jackson made that =)

I actually quite like this piece- I'm a big fan of the Silmarillion and would love to see it made!

Great picture! But as far as a Silmarillion movie goes, there's no way to get it all in one movie. Any one of the stories ie, Beren and Luthien, Turin Turambar, Tuor and Gondolin, Feanor, etc, could be a movie in and of itself. And of course Morgoth was more powerful than Sauron, he was a Valar, a greater spirit while Sauron was a Maiar, a lesser spirit.

As I recall, fingolfin cuts morgoth's left foot before his body is smashed.

Morgoth looks to similar to sauron who was the scholar of Morgoth.

Fingolfin had dark hair like his father of the Noldor, it was Finarfin his brother who took after their mother of the Vanyar that had golden hair.

this art is ok... in spite of the fact that, like Anon said, Fingolfin had a dark hair.

The Silmarillion takes up five movies when made Peter would probably do the Silmarillion , but he was fired while directing The Hobbot
