Quite a bit of distance away a wolf and a cat were in a stand off. Both watching each other to see who would make the first move. And as usual, Lagustin couldn’t help himself.
“I’m sorry Selan. I thought I had made it clear the last time we met that our little ‘relationship’ was over.” The sarcasm that radiated from those words could only be called intense.
“Annoying like usual I see Lagustin.”
“Does that mean you’ll leave me alone then?” came the not so hopeful reply.
“You don’t seem to have an understanding of the situation, Lagustin.” Selan replied through gritted teeth as his whiskers twitched.
“Give me a break. I just fell out of a tree.”
“Well, in that case allow me to put you out of your misery.” The smile came back as he shrugged his gun off of his shoulders.
Something I have been working on and off for a while now. A scene from my story Crimson Tide - please go to my shelf if you would like to find out how exactly Lagustin gets himself into this situation. Enjoy! ^.^
