I thought about touching it up with a wet brush just to see what would happen, but I am afraid that I might destroy it, and I made it as a comission for a friend at work. Watercolor pencils and spare time.

Not sure about the foreleg, or the heat emanating from the horn, or the spurts from the waterfall. Leave space before the subject. The overall effect is very pleasing. I like the foliage in all your work. Nice pic. Remember, those that can - do. Those that can't - criticise.

:-) Aimee Maxine Kitchens replies: "I agree. I did have some issues with some of the anatomy that I didn't really see until it was too later, and that was the first waterfall I had colored, so I also didn't know how to get the effect I was looking for. I tried not to overwhelm the unicorn with the rest of the details, but when one is in the forest, and sees such a sight, the rest of the forest does not cease to exhist. Even in my fantasy, I get stuck in reality.I do gather your meaning though, and for artistic reference, I will remember to leave some room for the focus, and not to destract too much with flashy backgrounds."

The flow of the mane and tail is exceptionally exquisite and the effect of the shading on the fur is very pretty. Keep up the good work ^^

7 Aimee Maxine Kitchens replies: "It is a good thing you agree with me that this is so fabulous. I was afraid that I might have been forced to go get my butter knife.hehehe...Thank you."

The waterfall is out of porportions water is supposed to flow straight down.. 180 degrees vertical. Your waterfall is slanted..Because of that... Your unicorn looks as if its falling backwards... The mountain is also too detailed, making the mountain seemed just a feet behind the unicorn... Thus also makign the waterfall seems near and logically, a near waterfall should have the lake extended further away. The waterfall splashes looks like hair instead of water.
