They screamed but they had no voices, cried out but no one heard.

Evil...(That's a compliment).
The tar/blood/black water(?) looks great.
Aside from that you might consider filling the blank space in the background (perhaps a sky full of dark windblown clouds) for a bit more "drama".

:-) Kelsey Hottman replies: "*I think its kinda supposed to be a tar-like oil-ish substance that they are sinking into.. In the actual picture I have a misty whisp all around them and heat waves coming up from the black stuff.. didnt come out quite like that after the scan and all.. thanks so much for checkin it out!"

I'm not sure what you are depicting...mermen being harpooned? Souls in torment? Whatever they are they make me really sad...the pic is very well done...*sniffles*...now I have to go away...

:-) Kelsey Hottman replies: "*Souls in torment is closest, I'm not 100% sure myself really. heh thanks so much for commenting, sorry it made you sad"

As Moritz von Gliszczynski said, some low stratus clouds would be very dramatic. I like the center one's head, but the one on the left seems punched in and the one on the right seems like it's slipping off. Otherwise, it's a very wonderful pic; I especially like the black stuff they seem to be sinking in.

:-) Kelsey Hottman replies: "*Heh a million thanks for checking it out. The black stuff is my favorite part too it took me soooo long to do.. its all done with pencil.. yikes "

That is really awesome. You drew the sea/ocean/water very well ^^ This is really a great idea. I love the dark passion behind it.
BTW.. Thanks for stopping by my gallery

Ciao

:-) Kelsey Hottman replies: "*You're very welcome and thank you for returning the comment! I'm glad you felt the passion in it!"

Wow... This is gorgeous. I mean, this is disturbing, in a really gorgeous way. You've done an awesome job of making the liquid thick and gloopy, and the expressions on their faces are just really really scary. This picture is so realistic and emotional... *stares* I'm going to have nightmares..

:-) Kelsey Hottman replies: "*Woo! Subconscious effects! Exactly what my goal was! Thank you very much for the comment, I'm glad I got such a response from you!"

"Then drowned in desire, our souls on fire I lead the way to the funeral pyre " Pink Floyd - One Slip

I got this song in my head, and any drawing that gets Pink Floyd running in my head is a good drawing! It's macabre, but in a lovely way.

:-) Kelsey Hottman replies: "*Fantastic! Great lyrics they really go with it. Glad I could bring it up to mind! thanks mate!"

Wow! This is amazing! I love the contrast of the water!

:-) Kelsey Hottman replies: "*thank you very much! I'll take a look at your gallery as soon as I can!"

Very, very awesome. Were you inspired by a nightmare? Looks like something I would dream about, hehe.

:-) Kelsey Hottman replies: "*Thanks mate! actually i was inspired when I read something, just a quick glimpse of a few lines and this popped into my head!"

This picture is really unique and I like that. You starts to wonder how they have got in a such a bad situation. You're talented! Keep it up!
