This is one of my characters, Carnelianfire (carn for short). Overall, the character is a sweet and innocent elf who often befalls great tragedy, which is why I drew her with a somewhat weary expression. She looks how I felt at the time I drew her.

I Drew this little number Nov 3, 2003, while watching Gangs of New York. I was recovering from Pneumonia at the time I drew it, so I felt really downtrodden. I also just wanted to get a more recent and better looking version of my character, Carnelianfire. This pencil sketch is on a full sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper. I also use a portion of this picture for my AIM buddy icon.
