| 23 Jun 2004 | Eric ek114@hot...com> | Hey man email me as to your location. Your dot on the map looks dangerously close to mine. Perhaps you have AIM or somethin? Cole Klues replies: "I'll have to do that..." | |
| 23 Jun 2004 | Eric ek114@hot...com> | Man who cares if you have trouble creating original ARTWORK! You have created your own STYLE. I love it. I don't know how to describe it, but it's something you might expect to see in comic books or anime, or something like that. Keep it up man...I love your style. Cole Klues replies: "Thanks a ton... =)" | |
| 24 Jun 2004 | Jw | I like your work, shows promise. However, why don't you intend to take art classes? I moved every year of high school, and different requirements at different schools forced me to take unimportant classes like Economics and other stuff- I never was able to take an art class. I went to Architecture school and got my art education there, thankfully. Here's the thing... Art classes give you parameters, they give you things to work with- and against! Knowing traditional techniques and basic theory help you to develop and improve your own personal style. Ask any comic book artist, and they'll tell you how essential it was to study or take classes in life drawing (human body). In order to make stylistic comics like Hellboy, it helps to understand the human form very well- Mike Mignola can create stylistic and angular forms because he understands what to exaggerate. So, please don't rule out art class! Every little bit of learning helps!!! Cole Klues replies: "Hey... thanks for the advice - I'll definately take it into consideration for the remainder of my high school classes..." | |

| 1 Sep 2004 | Johnny5 | you have a great style going for you my one recomendation is that you spend some time drawing just hands and feet. Draw them any way you can think of them maybe even stop by an art store see if they have one of those wooden model hands so you can position it how you want and look at it from all angles. Great artwork man I'm loving it but like I say work on those hands and feet. | |
| 2 Jan 2005 | Kayla rae | Your pics of hellboy are awesome i tried to draw him but it was a hopeless attempt but i can draw the (ahh) girl with the flame hands (punching myself cause i cant remember her name) when I'm at school i always get detentions because I'm to busy drawing in stead of doing my work! well any way keep it up =) | |
