Given how bright it looks, I would expect the lighting on their faces to be even more extreme, lighter lights and darker darks. Also their faces look rather too relaxed for such brilliant light as that seems to be. You would expect expressions of discomfort. Maybe the problem it that you made the lighting seem too extreme by the way you washed out the colors on the man, or is he a giant,(I seem to remember him being a giant) He seems very flat. I commend you for tackling such a difficult situation however. | |
| 23 May 2001 | Celesta | Loading... No, the guy in the chair was not a giant...he was the prince, and he was under a spell! I don't quite remember alot, because i read it a while ago, and things seem to seep from my brain! Yes, the color is too bright and washed out on the prince. This has always been my favorite of the books, this and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Is this acrylics? This is great, i love Puddleglum! though i pictured him a bit more gangly and lengthy! I like his expression! keep this up! great job! | |

Puddlegum is exactly as i imagined him, the chair perfect- the children are so life-like, talking, they look like a worried prince and princess, wow! The prince's epression is worderful. I love all of your work, it's soooo perfectly life-like, not with a cartoon take or anything. To me, fantasy is life-like,almost real-not neccesarily perfect, just as if it actually could be happening, you've captured it perfectly, thank you so much! | |
