SciFi and Fantasy Art lightning hand by Sarah McKay

deceptive title, eh? this is my first major acrylic attempt, and i love it! except for one thing..on the backaround, the base blue color sucked in the lower right corner, since i used ultramarine..but in the upper left corner, i really love the pthalo..forgive me spelling gods...blue. alas, that IS my pudgy little hand there...but look at the powah of the daahk side! i attempted 'the kinkade' effect, where you make the light ...shiny..ish parts that you want to catch the eye stick out from the canvas, so when you turn the light off, or on low, it seems to light up. and it worked!

The funny colours in the background look a bit out of place to me... not that I'd have any idea for a bg for this one, either. The light blue works very well as a lightening colour. (Now, tell me... is it lightning, or lightening? I have no idea)
