SciFi and Fantasy Art Warrior Sketches by Kort Kramer


	Here are some sketches of a male and female warrior. I tried to keep the use of line minimal to see how expresive I could be using the least amount of pen-scratches. The woman is influenced by Ken Kelly's work and the 'Samurai' is semi-manga but more influence by my time in Okinawa Japan. These were done many years ago and I realize there are areas that could use work.

3 Jul 1999	John Teall	Loading... i like the stylized exageration of crafty movement in the way the forground figure is drawn. the one in the background looks wide open and vulnurable to attack in that stance. not unbalanced but... i wouldn't want to be her is that position facing someone who knew what they were doing...

28 Sep 2000	Kevin the Red	Loading... The girl seems okay, but the guy could use a little work. Aside from the need for a manicure, I think his arms and hands are too thin for his body. Even if his cloak is billowing from a breeze or something, he couldn't use a sword with arms proportionately that small. Aside from that, I kinda like it.
18 Jun 2001	Carissa R. Merz	Loading... Errmm... Well.. They have nice lines.. And They are crisp.. Youve got a good starting point here for the differences between men and women.. But... Well.. The ladys thighs look masculane, where as the guys hands look feminine (old witch femininy type).. anmd The faces are a bit similar.. When doing guys faces, Ive found that they are normally a bit longer than females faces, with more of a flat chin.. Though I still cant put those components together successfully myself most of the time.. I know that they work.. ANywho.. Keep up the good work!
