Enigma of Life
By Kristen Sun
The world turns round and round
Revolving and rotating
Paying no mind to the people
How insignificant we are!
It boggles the mind
And frustrates the head
Trying to comprehend
The mysteries of this life
Where are we going?
What are we doing?
In this time
We are all trying to make something of ourselves
Yet our life is in the hands of our Earth
If that is true
Tell me, why are we destroying it?
The beauty
The innocence
There will soon be no more…
We could be all alone in this universe
Just us
If we wipe out our world with war,
Who is left to live in this existence?
Sometimes life could be a dream
Sometimes a cruel reality
Which one is it?
Mayhap this life that we lead
Is not really ours
We could be chess pieces
On God’s board
Why don’t we make the best out of what we have?
Let us learn to love
And love back
Life sure is good that way…
