'Jenna heard the sound again... the tingling of a tiny bell... what could that be? She crept out bed and, armed with Pointy the Toy Cat, she approached the hall where she had heard the sound. A brilliant but tiny light flickered among the columns. Was it dangerous, could she touch it?' I wanted to make a picture of a cute little elf girl, as a distraction to the often dramatic and violent pictures I otherwise make. I'm pleased with the finished picture, but there is always room for improvement. Jan 03, And now I have changed it a bit; she doesn't have those wrinkles under her eyes anymore, that made her look older. 'Plastic' surgery on a child, what is the world coming to?

She is the epitome of all children curious cautious and restless. It's wonderful and so is the introduction. It give your picture more life and meaning.

She's so cute! I love her little freckles and her button nose. The coloring on this is excellent, wonderful use of lighting.

:-) Sigbjørn Kronenberger replies: "Thanks!I'm not used to draw children, so Your comment are welcome.I cheated on the lighting though, I used the Lens flare filter in Photoshop..."

:-) Sigbjørn Kronenberger replies: "As always Your comments are very thourough and positive, and I am very thankful and happy that You have taken all the trouble writing them.I see that several of the comments liked the "story" I wrote for the picture, and who knows, maybe the little one will appear in my upcoming Wyverns library place? She's extremely adorable, but her face seems a bit old... not quite sure why....

:-) Sigbjørn Kronenberger replies: "Hmmm, You may be right, I know what You mean anyway, so maybe I will fix it..."

How adorable! You did great with the light effect on the child and the shadows. The toy cat is also very cute. Was that coloured in Photoshop?
