I visited your fan art gallery a couple of months ago. I just got around to visiting your sci-fi gallery and I was surprised at the contrast in the quality of the work. Don't take this the wrong way but your fan art looks a little crude compared to your sci-fi art. It almost appears that you were in a hurry when you created it. Your sci-fi fantasy art has such great detail, coloring and texturing. Is there a reason for the stark contrast between the two galleries? I'm just curious as an art critic.

Heather Harmon replies: "Lol...Your right about the quality of the work...the answer is simple as of why they are so extremely different...time...I drew the stuff in the fanquarter a long time ago and I never felt like doing anymore...I more interested in doing my own work than copying others ideas"

Thanks for the rebuttal. I've left over a hundred comments on Elfwood since I discovered it by accident just over a year ago. Sadly, only about one half have actually responded to my critiquing of their work. Maybe it's because they just don't have the time to check up on their accounts regularly. At least I hope that's the reason. Anyways, I have to partly disagree with your view that fan art is copying someone else's idea. I can appreciate your point of view but I prefer to think of fan art as art that is inspired by someone else's idea. As long as the artist acknowledges that their work is based upon another's original idea then it's not copying. Anyone who comes up with a truly original idea should be flattered and honored that other artists might be inspired by their creation.

What is so great about Inuyasha? Please tell me if you know the answer. I really want to know what girls see in Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. I have a tail i could wipe both of them off the face of the earth with simple elemental spells and I have a cooler looking sword. I'm a demon I just don't get it..... Ne way I found the elfwood searching for Inuyasha and Sesshomaru pics for my dumb brother and your's is by far my favorite pencil drawn pictures.

I don't know why you were so worried. I did check out your fanart too and I have to say that I like your little rendition of Sesshomaru. I also like your crazy clown pic in this gallery. I don't know if I'll ever join elfwood, I might. Then you can go over there and make fun of my stuff, lol.
