SciFi and Fantasy Art Empress of the World by Heather Harmon

In this post-apolytic world one women rules all. Her ancestor had saved the last humans before the apocolipse and had been made their ruler. Now thousands of years later this family still rules with an iron grip. The eye is the symbol of the empress's office. It is a symbol to the people that she watches at all times and her cameras and spies are everywhere. She wears only black and white to show she is the judge of them all.
Ya, I do not know why I did this picture but she kept appearing in my doodles in my school notes so I decided get it out. Im really proud of this picture because I did it from scrap with a mouse in photoshop. I think its not bad, even if I do think she needs some fashion sense. Just black and white gets boring. :P I think she's about to give a sppech or something to a crowd below. (photoshop)

7 Oct 2004	Steven; a fan of sci-fi art	Loading... This one does kind of reminds me of this old sci-fi story called "1984". It was a story written back in 1948, I can't remember the author though. I can only remember bits and pieces of it, I read it when I was a kid almost 30 years ago. But it depicted that by the year 1984 our society would be completely servile and controlled by mind reading police. Remember, this story was written in 1948. Many sci-fi writers back then weren't thinking very far into the future. But your story caption kind of reminds me of it. Good symmetry, but I think it would be more intriguing if it were colored.
