If there were such thing as a dragon emperor, this is what I think he'd look like. As of now, I consider this my best work to date. The original is 12 x 18 in. Detailed views can be found at my private gallery.

Why is it I always get my best ideas at one in the morning?? :-P

TO your comment about always getting the best ideas in the morning: I once had a teacher who told me that when you are lying down your brain is relaxed and is able to think only about thing u dont need muscles for...such as math or even creativity toward drawings.
But i really love the detail you put into your work the scale things are awesome...and the perspective is wonderful.

:-) Krystal Tyler replies: "That makes sense... I've solved at least one homework problem (math/physics-related) after going to bed before... Thank you! This is one of the few pictures I have where the perspective is decent."

Perhaps the best overall dragon picture I've seen at Elfwood. Really, really good detail on everything!

Keep it up!

:-) Krystal Tyler replies: "Really? Wow. Thanks a bunch!!! 1 "

Wow, you took the time to shade each scale. Something I'd grow bored with 12 Love the spikes, the whiskery things on his chin, and your shading techniques-- the spotty shading (it has a name I know it..) on the neck piece, the lined shading on the head, and the use of small and large scales 12 makes me feel like drawing again! Lol **hasn't updated her gallery in YEARS x_x** A beautiful work! 2

:-) Krystal Tyler replies: "Yeah, it does get boring after a while, but I try to break it up a bit with different-sized scales... "Spotty shading" is stippling or pointalism, whatever you want to call it. I used small lines for the fuzzy part at the bottom, though, so I don't know if that would technically be stippling or not... *shrug* Thank you for commenting!"

In a website related to the game Shadowrun game, a Dragon named Dunkhelzhan is elected President of the United States, AND IN AN OUTBURST OF RACISM HE IS ASSASSINATED! Well…may I humbly suggest that you should show us…a Secret Service dragon?
