This is the first time I've been able to color a completely black creature and make her look...black! This is also the first time I've ever done a full-length dragon from a position other than a side view. I'm exceedingly happy with this picture. Prismacolor colored pencils on 80 lb. Canson drawing paper, February, 2004.

Again, just as a matter of lines and such, that tall mountain that nearly touches the snout is slightly distracting, but other than that the posture, positioning, and angles of the picture are magnificently done. Interesting quote beginning the description, too... Krystal Tyler replies: "Thank you, Ian. :-] Yeah, I'd go back and change that if I could...but it doesn't bother me for some reason. Usually, my mistakes just stare at me and bug me to death every time I look at a picture, but this one doesn't.... shrugs helplessly Thanks; I felt that was the mood of the picture shortly after beginning to sketch it."
31 Jul 2004	Sara Melissa Bean	Loading... Very cool...I don't find the mountain/snout thing distracting at all. I love the blue eye and the perspective on the near wing is excellent.
