I finally got an idea for a Halloween costume during the summer by looking over some of my own artwork. It had - quite literally - been staring me in the face: the Emperor! I spent nearly the entire two free weeks I had between summer work and the fall semester working on it. Though it isn't realisitic, I loved it (and I loved wearing it - no one could see my face)! I bought the stick at the Sterling, NY renaissance festival (but I decorated it with shinies). The wings and tail were left out due to comfortability constraints. (Try sitting in a chair with half-folded wings and a tail.) I won both the sci-fi and fantasy clubs' costume contests. Whee!

I must add that Nightlyre's webpage was invaluable to me in constructing the costume, especially the mask and feet. Thank you!!!!!

Heya cool! Looks like the lizard men from the Faerun type computer games, like Baldur's gate, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind dale and stuff2 And it does look like your emperor when you mention it2 Did you make the clothes too? Anyway, looks good12

cheese!

:-) Krystal Tyler replies: "I haven't played any of those games but thanks anyway! :-] Yep, I made the clothes, too. They're very simple, though, so they didn't take much effort. Thanks for the comment!!"

I recognize that one from the Diplomatic File. This is His Imperial Majesty Gresíki Kinibálu, 205th of the Gresíki clan, of the Kupáca species. He is a reasonable and kind creature. In ancient times, his people had embassies to the Japanese and the Puerto Ricans. Do not try to double-cross him. There is a ball and chain hidden in his staff, and he knows a pole-vaulting martial art with some nasty flying kicks.
