Tag As FavoriteComment		When I was in Arizona last May (2003), I realized that I'd never drawn any majestic Saguaro cacti before. I quickly rectified that situation. ;-]

Here's a young adult desert drake satisfying his child-like curiosity of a scorpion that's trying its best to defend itself against the monstrosity before it while the drake's parents keep a watchful eye at a distance.

Done May 24, 2003 in colored pencils.

Very nice work, esp. the landscape and cactus's! And...of course your dragons are always cool looking. I like the color scheme..he looks like an iguana/dragon cross.

OMG! It took me forever to fing the scorpion... maybe I'm getting blind...
This is really cool work with pencils! I like the dragon design looks spiky and graceful... also if I'd never heard of this dragon-species.

:-) Krystal Tyler replies: "Nah, you're not blind... I just messed up with the scaling and had to make the scorpion teeny tiny. ^.^"
