When I first began this picture, I had envisioned the word Dragon emblazoned across a page with one of the creatures wrapped around the word. I began with the 'D'; but, in my infinite wisdom, I started it too far into the page. By the time I got to the 'o', I realized that there was no way I could cram an 'n' into the space I had left. So, the paper became a doodle page. I took it with me to math recitation and instantly began doodling on it. The dragon's head took shape, and I actually ended up liking it. When I got home I canned everything but the dragon and the letter 'D' (because the dragon was hanging on to it. Of course, I couldn't just leave the 'D' in the picture - that would look weird - so I made it into my initials.

I always wondered if my middle initial stood for something else...

His hands and feet seem a bit on the stiff side, but otherwise this looks pretty spiff. I did something slightly like this in college, exept my initials are hidden in two dragons.

LOVE IT!!!! Want to do my initials?? Have you ever considered somehow using this for your trademark instead of your computer generated "Krystal Tyler"? I think that would be an awesome logo to put on all your drawings =) personally, I think the letters could use a bit of shading, but not too much texture, it would take away from the dragon's effect...
PS-look at the thumbnail, now picture it on your drawings...

:-) Krystal Tyler replies: "Sure. It'd keep me busy over Christmas Break... ;-] Y'know, I haven't really thought of using it as a logo... That's a good idea. I'll have to mess with it in Photoshop to see if I can get it translucent... Thanks! I'll try that!"

Oooh! How cool! I really like that. If you don't mind, I am going to use your idea and make something for my bedroom door. Although I don't think it will be quite as good as your's.

:-) Krystal Tyler replies: "Glad you like it! Hey, something like this *would* be cool on a bedroom door! (And nope, I don't mind at all.) :-]"

Hehe... oh, the silly irony of this piece ^_^... It just so happens that my current art project (forced upon me by that cow of an art teacher I must endure) is making us work on a logo with our initials and an inclusion of something that describes me... And after I did a dragon clinging to the initial of my last letter (D ofcourse ^_^) I realize that i'd done almost a very sloppy mimick job... Exept mine is unwillingly scratched out in sharpie. This one though... this one is amazing! I really do adore your logo... That dragon looks so cool with those curling horns...

:-) Krystal Tyler replies: "We had to do some initial things in art one time too...I remember that... 'Twasn't very exciting, as you say... I don't think I did a dragon then, though, for some dumb reason. *shrug* Anyway, thank you! I need to do curly horns more often."

Your initials are amazing and i was wondering if u would do my initials for me like that but without the dragon in the background? If u will then they r JWR Thanks

:-) Krystal Tyler replies: "Aw, no dragon? What's the fun in that? ;-] Just kidding... Sure, I can do that. It may be a while, since I have many other requests to do first, but I'll see what I can do. :-]"
