Tag As FavoriteComment		This one took me forever!  But it turned out very well, and the couple I gave it to were happy with it too.  (It was a wedding gift to two of my friends; their wedding theme was "dragon and phoenix.")  Lots of symbolism in this.  The front edge of the ring says, "One ring to bind them" (they're LotR fans); the back edge spells out the names of the two who were wed.

Watercolor background with colored pencil overlay on 140lb hot press, 16 x 22 inches.  September 2007.

The slightly catlike face of the dragon is interesting. I love the detail on the scales and feathers, it's really impressive.

That's wonderful how you got a ying-yang thing going and everything is so well-proportioned. I like how you colored the phoenix's feathers in such a way that it's all glowy. 1
