SciFi and Fantasy Art Shadow and Flame by Krystal Tyler

A simpler tribal design this time... I wanted to try out more white space instead of the detailed, near-solid designs I've done so far. This was intended to be more impressionistic than my other designs. Yet it almost appears as if it needs something...but I can't put a finger on it.

Done June 5, 2003 in pen.

UPDATE: As per some comments and suggestions (thank you!), I've added claws to the picture. I think it looks complete now.

(btw dont mind my "properly" LOADS of fails in the comment) ... when i see u'r drawings makes me wanna pracktice even more.. keep up the good work.. Krystal Tyler replies: "Yeah. I wanted to do some kind of signature/label thing, but I didn't know what to do. Someone suggested that I use my initials picture, so I did. Works really well. Thanks for the comment! :-]"
18 Jun 2003	Lunaris	Loading... I've loved everything that I've seen so far in your gallery. (not much time, so much great art sigh )You truly do have such a unique style that its so wonderful. As to what its missing......perhaps claws. They could really accent the wings and flames....maybe look as if its reaching to grab at the dinner its just cooked lol. Krystal Tyler replies: "Y'know, I thought of that while drawing it, but I didn't put them in for some reason...and I don't remember what that reason was! lol! Thanks!"
