"Splat" by Krystal Tyler

This came immediately to mind when I heard of the ID contest over at Art of the Empire. I wasn't sure I could actually pull it off, but I had to give it a try! It's not quite what I wanted (I just couldn't get that second Lock to look right no matter how many times I redrew him), but I'm happy with it!

Sadly, the edges are rough, and they kinda make the drawing look a little fake. That's because compressed charcoal is a messy business, and it got smeared all over the nice, white paper. My thumb has been rubbed raw trying to erase it (with a kneaded eraser), to no avail. I tried to remove it digitally as best I could, but it left the edges of the goo looking like a three-year-old cut them out.
