This is apoem I wrote from the perspective of the most tortured of all elementals, the Chaos Warrior. Drawn forever into danger because their element, creatures of this type live lonely and deeply troubled until they are killed.

<I, The Chaos Elemental

The gods’ most wretched pawn~

I walk forever drawn to danger

With a mind outmatched by brawn.

I’m a creature of the Darkness

The bastard child of Light~

Despite my long for normalcy

I last eternal, swathed in night.

Acclaimed by all things evil

And cursed by all those fair~

I was birthed by Death and Chaos

And was mothered by Despair.

I know little outside darkness

And nothing outside fear~

I’m sustained barely by madness

And the pain that binds me here.

Yet through the trial I maintain hope

 But Light is a dark temptation~

The largest hurdle in my path

Is my lost, bedamned salvation.>

That's a nice one. I think it reflects partly the feeling any ordinary jill might get, out in a world where one is ultimately alone, tossed by winds that never seem to blow from home... a sad poem, although abstract.
