| 3 Jul 2004 | Stephanie 'Delta' Gunderson | Hey. Was looking at your pictures. I kinda like that you're more towards realism than anime/manga/etc. Don't be afraid to shade more, especially on faces... it seems like there's v v little shading there. But then, if they're digicam shots instead of scans maybe you're losing a lot of the depth of it (this happens to me a lot). Anyways, yeah. The anatomy you have generally isn't bad, but kind of stilted... maybe working from life or from watching tv might help some to get more of an idea of the motion?? Maybe try some more dramatic lighting, too, sometime? Nice pictures, though. I really like that you have something with charcoal up; people don't put much that's like that up and honestly, I find things that are kind of rough to be more interesting sometimes, depending on how far along it is (especially with oil pastels/charcoal). Anyways though, keep drawing and stuff. Peace out. //RC from #loth | |
