SciFi and Fantasy Art Demerios by Kristina ´Aryana´ Siers

This is Demerios, prince of the merfolk and high priest of the Lord of the Oceans. He can shape-change into elven form and lives disguised as an elf within the ruins of an ancient city at the coast. He calls himself Demerios, having forgotten his true name as he got badly hurt within a battle. Fishermen found him in his elven shape and cured his wounds. It was a great surprise for him as he discovered that he could not only not live without having the sea near, but also breath underwater and shapechange into a merman!
Done with watercolor and black ink. I had to scan it in two parts due to its original size and removed lines and shades from scanning with PaintShop pro.

You are very good with watercolours, but to me it seems kind of flat, perhaps some darker shading on the skin and tail would give you more of a 3d effect Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: " That's my problem - I only can draw in 2d, but I am still practising. It's much easier with pencils or charcoal. "

Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "Thanks! The tail was a little experiment with blue and purple shades mxed with silver. He was really fun to draw!"

I really have to work on body proportions (don't look too close at his arms...), but I really like how his face came out. Yes, he would be interesting to meet. In fact, I had - within my dreams!"
