This picture is dedicated to my artist friends Christel Scheja and Uta 'Freawyn' Hesse (see my main gallery page for links to their galleries), and a tribute to their 'Gryphon and Phoenix' universe. The two of them created a world of magic and fantasy, in which dreams come to life. Nearly all of their characters are a gryphon or a phoenix in real shape, although they mostly show themselves as elves or humans. With this picture I want to say thanks again.
Markers, colored pencils, PaintShopPro. My second attempt on a pc generated background. I like how this starry sky came out!

Simply beautiful 2 Great composition of the two, and the sky turned out well! I like the wings of the gryphon very much!

:-) Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "Thanks! IN the first sketch I did for this picture, I forgot the wings on the gryphon and kept thinking, well, he looks funny, but don't know why...and then I saw that I forgot the wings, so maybe he's smiling like he does because he has wings, finally. 2"

*does the first comment* it was such a great surprise again as you sent this picture to me! And it came out THAt georgously! The phoenix is shining against the dark background, and I agree with you that it looks great. Both creatures look very prowd, and I especially love the gryphons coloured wings. I still think I have to create a new character for him! And the whole composition is awesome, its so well balanced! I feel so honoured about the picture(s) you did for me!

:-) Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "And I am glad you liked them all! 2I really love this one, maybe it's another one to be framed and hung up to one free space on our walls at home..."

Owwh thank you for the picture. As Uta said, the two of them look very proud and stong, and the composition is great!
Very good and nice work, I will care in my heart, because it came out of love and interest!

:-) Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "It was fun to draw this and I wanted it to be a gift for both of you for creating the wonderful, fantastic realms of GuP. I am happy you like it! 1 "

BLUE again! ;-D Hey, you're so nice to me with this update! And this time it's even the shade of blue I like best *hug*

Okay, the rest of the pic: it's just gorgeous. I always loved your phoenix-pics, and this one is great again. I love the way you coulored it (or him?), it looks like he's glowing with inner fire. And the gryphon - hey, don't you ever dare to tell me that your gryphons look like chicken! Its really, really beautiful. More, please!

:-) Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "Okay, I'll stop complaining about my gryphons. I don't know whether the phoenix is "he" or "she", it depends on what characters Freawyn and Christel will make out of this pair. Thanks so much for visting again!"

What a beautiful picture! The colours are so vivid and the composition is wonderful. I can't think of any cc for this one, sorry 12 They are so cute and so stylized.

:-) Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "Thanks so much! It must not be cc all the time, I appreciate every comment gladly! 1"

Beautiful colours used. I really like the stars in the background.

:-) Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "Thanks! The stars were added with paintshop, the rest is, as usual for my latest pictures, colored pencils and markers. I love fiery colors, so it was fun to draw the phoenix."

Cool! I always have troubles with drawing griffins so most of the time I just don't!

:-) Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "My first gryphons looked like overgrown chicken...*lol* Just try again and again, practise is the only thing that brings an artist further! 1"

Yay, gryphon and phoenix. Two of my favorite animals on elfwood. ^__^ I really like the phoenix, it sorta flows together with the different colors. It's very pretty. I wonder on the background if there is a way to like fade the edges of the phoenix a little because there is feathers. That way it would look less like you just pasted it over a background. Not that I have any useful tips on how to do that of course. I'm not good with computer art stuff. Anyway, beautiful picture!

:-) Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "Thanks!2 I'm not good with computer art, too, so I think it will always look like pasted to a backgound! 2 I know I could practise, but I am too darn lazy!"
