SciFi and Fantasy Art Madness by Kristina ´Aryana´ Siers

They came every night, they brought him nightmares and haunted his sleep - demons out of the shadows his soul was condemned to. There was only one man who was able to banish Venaro's demons - his soul brother Theran, his trusted friend, his beloved. Venaro wanted only one thing - he wanted to keep Theran at his side, he wanted to own him and he wanted to share with nobody. And this tainted love nearly killed Theran. Overwhelmed by his pain he broke the soul bond he shared with Venaro to safe his own life, and for Venaro, only madness was left. Each night he now awakes, feeling himself surrounded by shadow demons, feeling Theran's blood covering his hands.

I was too afraid to loose it all by trying to fix the head's size."
24 Oct 2004	Audrey S. Totire	Loading... Oooh! definately caught the insanity in the story and picture. His face reminds me of (the stolen) Munch's "The Scream"(contour of the cheekbones)---Nice work! Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "Thanks so much! In fact, I was thinking about "The Scream" by doing this one, for I think Munch's picture is THE picture describing madness and despair. I am so glad that I cought his expression, for this was also a study on emotions for me."

26 Oct 2004	Kerstin ´kolibri´ Eiben	Loading... A dark picture, esp. with the effect of blood red on grey and black colours. Makes me frown and have a strange feeling. Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "It should be dark. It gives me the creeps, too, while looking at it, although it's one of my favourites among my new ones. I'm happy with it, all the comments show that I got the effect I wanted."

I absoluteley love how you left the picture just in black and white, using the red ink just for the blood in his hands. Also I love how he looks: Sorrowful, ancious and angy all in one. 26 Oct 2004	Brian L. Husted	Loading... Wow, I was just looking at this and thinking about how much it reminded me of "The Scream", then I read Audrey's comment and your response. You did an excellent job with this picture, it evokes a lot of emotion. You can really see this character's descent into madness. Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "Thanks so much, Brian! This was all I wanted - my first really emotional picture showing a nother than an arrogant or peaceful expression. Poor Venaro, he went through a lot while we spin the story further. He's healed now - but he will never forget this experience and he still is afraid of the dark. No wonder."

Only suggestion I have is that the white surround your character seems to be too white. Otherwise, great mood piece. Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "Thank you! I agree about the backgriund, maybe I'll change it to a darker hue."

It seems that that is the moment, when he realizes what has happened and what he has done, but there is still madness, who loved to do that. Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "Yes, that's it!
