  | A double portrait of my Nithyara character Stormlance. The words say: 'I am Nithyara. I am a blade forged by pain and pleasure. I come from the stars and to the stars I will return. I am death, waiting for you in the darkness. I am a song that resounds beneath the stars. I am darkness and I am light. I give you pain and I give you pleasure. I am Nithyara.' The words are a kind of 'Nithyara philosophy'. Getting the signs burned into their skin causes a lot of pain, but the Nithyara learn to take the pain, to walk right through it and change it into pleasure to be able to bear it. It is a kind of meditation process and has nothing to do with s/m practics. :-) Just for info... Markers. |
