SciFi and Fantasy Art Sha´lhe-vha - The Selkie by Kristina ´Aryana´ Siers

Sha'lhe-vha. She's not only a Selkie, but she carries the noble blood of many races and tribes within her veins. Her father was King of the Shadow Elves, her mother half mer-elf, half selkie, but the selkie blood is strong within her. She is aeons old, although she looks like a very young woman still, and the story of her life could fill books. Once a human highlord took her seal skin away, so she had to live with him at his court for some years. There she met with the ambassador of a strange race called the Barani, exchanged letters with him who was a stranger among the humans as much as she was, and fell in love with him. He was the one who gave her the name Sha'lhe-vha, which means 'Beautiful stranger' in Barani tongue.
Here she is in all her beauty (she hates clothes and normally dresses in nothing more than her wild black mane). The seal beside her is her beloved Zharenn in his seal shape.

Oh well, then i will comment! grins I did look at this earlier, but i thought that someone else might want to comment first - but since no one has, i need to stop blabering. First of all the composition of this piece is wonderful! I love the colours as well they are very calm and set a wonderful mood for this piece. I always try to draw "with all my heart", when it's a friend's character. I did an earlier version of this selkie lady before, but I still don't like that one, this is much more "she"."

A am one of the few who know the first picture, and I really think, this second try is classes better, because here you hat the right hand for her, she is not only perfect, but I also like the compisition of the picture! Another thing....my first name is Kristina--with a "K", too Kristina 'Aryana' Siers replies: "Hello name-sister!
