I read a fable about a character named Lui Ye and how he assended to the dragon kingdom and became an imortal spirit. A charming tale about courage and compassion, and I did a little eastern dragon for fun. I'm actually now going to give this to a friend for christmas, just the original is a much longer format with more clouds and running along the bottom is text with the story of Lui Ye. I just cropped him down for displaying in the gallery. Hope you all like!

Amazing, excellent. So dynamic. The only thing I would change (if I ever had the ability to make something like this at all) is to put his hands a bit closer to his head. Why? Because the way bodyparts face to certain direction indicates movement, now head and hand indicate exactly opposite movement. If either was just a bit in another direction this would cause the body to curl (the way the head moves does it perfectly). Right now there is a slight, barely noticeable dissonance there. Everything is so realistic in it, the hair and the facial expression are awesome and the background breathtaking.

:-) Kylee Nel replies: "Really? Hmmm... an interesting thought, maybe you're right. But placement of the arms is rather difficult for this kind of dragon, and I think that the head initiates the movements and the hands follow. Maybe it does look a bit off, but its definatelly food for thought. Thanks for the input, its appreciated."

I adore how you made him look shiny and golden! I'm still having trouble with shining, and this species of dragon period. its quite masterful! ^__^

I’m loving the whisker-things! LOL. You did an awesome job with this one. Looks more realistic than most pictures of Eastern dragons I see.
