Personally I'm impatient with details, so this took a lot of discipline and I grew as an artist."

Reptiles and snakes are a major favorite of mine, and I've yet to work up to doing that kind of scale work... very impressive! Kylee Nel replies: "Thank you! I suppose you just have to think of the way they need to flow around the body shap and where they get small or larger. The rest is just an insane ammount of patience!"
24 Jul 2006	Lizardlover	Loading... I am truly impressed. The scales just blew me away! They are so realistic; they are small on the face and going toward the wrists and larger on the legs and back. The waterfall is also amazing, I like how you really captured that a waterfall isn't all one shade. The lighting is superb too; the light off those orbs throws the dragon's muscles into perfect relief. I am blown away, and this is only the close up! Kylee Nel replies: "Thank you, yes, a lot of thought went into this piece, and I think the result was worth it."

I especially like the water and the lights. Kylee Nel replies: "Thanks. Yes, I'm insane, and I haven't attempted something with this much detail in a while, but I should try apply myself again."
7 Sep 2006	Moth	Loading... I love this pic. It's like they understand each other and that they are talking possibly plotting something. With the smirk on his face it could be either. Makes you wonder what it is that they are talking about. Makes you feel like you're there trying to over hear the conversation. Great job. Keep up the great work. Kylee Nel replies: "Indeed, they are rather mysterious little entities. Maybe they're forest spies reporting news, or maybe the dragon is more suprised to meet them then they are surprised at meeting a dragon. Who knows?....Thanks for the kind words, its appreciated!"
