I truelly believe that I lost my mind in that forest somewhere. I painted this piece at a huge resolution and tried to add every teeny tiny detail with a teeny tiny brush size. It took me two dedicated weeks to finish this. (While I was on holiday.) The landscape was completed first, then the dragon. I wish I could upload the picture at its full size, but its in the region of 12MB.

Whoa! I love this picture! I am a big sucker for forests and this is a good forest. The title fits very well in my opinoun. I love the dragon and how it is twisting around to see the balls of light. I love the forest background and the mood it has on this picture. The shading and lighting are perfect! The dragon's expression is very well drawn.

This piece is beautiful. I bow to your patience. The detail is simply stunning in this picture. I can imagine the long hours you have stuffed into this picture. Just a few notes, I think the shading needs to be darker on the feet and end of the tail. They look as to be in the shadow of the wing, but they aren't shaded that way. And you need to spread out his toes just a smidget so it looks like he is actually putting weight onto them. Finally, the tree on the right looks like someone sliced a V-shaped chunk out of it. OK, the piece is fabulous and no matter how many fixin's I see, it all evens itself out.

:-) Kylee Nel replies: "Finally! someone with some decent CC!!! Thanks for pointing those things out for me. Its sometimes difficult to spot the problems when its your own work, and after reading your comment, I see them, and when I have the time, try to correct them. Thanks a million!"

THis is so stunning - I am amazed at all the patience you had in doing this! Wow! Such detail and dedication. Too bad you couldn't upload a bigger size, I think you loose so much of the detail when downsizing. This makes me want to put more detail into my art! I am so impressed. 2
