| 8 Oct 2001 | le KAt | P.S. --> Good work with the creativity and detail. | |
| 8 Oct 2001 | le KAt | I'll give you the advice that I gave myself, which worked - go find an anatomy book. Flip past all the cellular stuff and get to the sections on bone structure and musculature. If you've found a good one, it'll have lots of pictures in it. Every page, there's a picture. Just study the different angles they give you and see which muscles connect to which bones, then move the bones in your own body and see how the muscles move, or visualize it if you're like me and have no muscles to be seen ; Another thing you can do is examine your proportions, which are universal in (normal) human(oid)s. Start your drawings with circles and lines as a frame work rather than just beginning at a foot or face and working down 'til something appears. Or at least just try the things I meantioned. A lot of people say it helps - myself included (I'm not great artist, either, and have the art work to prove it!). E-mail me if you want more advice, or explanations, etc etc. I don't mind, and could use the mail-box traffic. | |
| 19 Oct 2001 | G_ZUS_FREAK_99 aka Bobby | I think that you are on your way to being a great artist.You seem to have the imagination and talent .Now you only need to refine them I like the pictures . The one with the crying could have had less width of the tears on the face .But it was some thing that came from your imagination .I have been heart broken before ,so I guess that is what it may seem like .The tears being that much.But I am no artist but have known so really good ones .I believe you have what it takes Keep up the great work Peace and God Bless Bobby | |
| 15 Nov 2001 | Stephen B | Hello all, nice work laura, you and Stephanie have great talent. Well as for me I try to draw mechs and i dont have a scanner hehe. Anyway keep it up you 2. | |
| 20 Feb 2003 | Delirium | Laura, you have great potiential to further develop your talents as an artist. As far as suggestions go, add more persective to your illustrations. Consider all elements of design when creating work: Line, texture, color, form, & value. Also, don't critize your work so much. When you cut down the value of your work, what meaning is left for the viewer? Have confidence! Remember, an artist's work is never finished, only abandoned. | |
