I know how depressing it is to not get any comments on your work, either ever, or very rarely. I know I don't comment on other people's work unless I have something really important to say. Usually, I talk out my arse, so my comments are rare indeed. However, for some reason, I have decided to comment on EVERY ONE of your pics! Yay!
I think you are a great artist with a lot of potential. Your work with shading is excellent, as are your faces and hands.
My main suggestion is to look at more books for reference. You mentioned something about a book on forshortening, which is great, but just reference books for pictures are good. If you can, find some old National Geographic magazines. I know in Australia they are really easy to find at second hand book shops or op-shops. They can really come in handy, and have some good inspiration as well. Using models is another thing you could try. If you can't find some one willing to keep a pose for a long time, find which angle you want to draw them from and take a picture to copy from.
Anyway, I really enojoyed your gallery. Can you please come and check out my Wyvern's Library. I hate to beg, but I am desperate for comments!

Amanda

:-) LaDonna Mae (Lacy) Lawton replies: "Wow, you did go to town on your commentary! Actually I haven't added any to this gallery for some time since I friend had intraduced me to Deviantart, where I can actually get my work up much faster and with less limits. I really should update my galleries here.. but I have greatly enjoyed your comentary! It was a rather wonderful surprise to find my box filled with all these delightful words. ^_^ It made my day! "

Hello! Me again!
Just wanted to say I have checked out your new pics, and I love them!
Especially Grand Duke Vyers. He is kind of cute, and I can understand why he is vain!
Keep up the good work, anyway. And when are you going to start colouring these?

)O( Woof )O(

:-) LaDonna Mae (Lacy) Lawton replies: "Vyers is one of my faves for sure. More playful and certainly not at all like the phsyco that Mkael is. And his vanity is just freakin adorable. As for your comment about the ball, it's a spell. I never ment for it tobe PERFECTLY round.. in the colored verson that I'm working on its more glassy and spirled inside. LOL well I do do prints up of any of my pictures in my gallery if you want one. THe ginger Larharl one, that's the fallen leaves colored right? that's as far as the coloring will go. I wanted soemthing a little mroe abstract.. as for getting more up. I don't know when.. and they never notified me that they finaly posted my stuff.. I was figuring that I wouldnever see it up at all, so glad that you found them ^_^"
