| 13 Dec 2010 | John R Farley Jr | Loading... Just keep practicing and you will get there. But I think the art is being held back by a lack of materials, and not skill. For example you should get a burnishing pencil for colored pencils. These smooth out the texture and blends the pencil color for a smoother look. You can also "cheat" and use colored inks and a brush for large areas instead of colored pencil.
But no matter what medium you go with, it will have a learning curve and its plusses and minuses. It all depends on which medium(s) you prefer. Alice Marie Rorstrom replies: "Thanks, I’ll look for those next time I’m art supply shopping." | |

When I really begun to practise human (and else) antomy drawing, in age of ten (don’t remember for sure, that might have been earlier) my characters truly looked like made of lacking blocks and balls. I needed many years of hard work and lots of practise to get in the point I’m now, so just keep on drawing! Alice Marie Rorstrom replies: "Thanks.
