Bernice is a student/writer who spends more time in the Universe Left of Centre than on Earth.

 

 

I'm a student and writer. I live in South Africa with my parents, and I initially began writing because I thought the ending of Starcraft was all wrong. My brother asked if I could write a better ending, and I did. Don't know about better, but it's certainly original. I then proceeded to write a series of sixteen stories loosely set in that universe, involving elves, wizards, vampires and Captain Picard. I killed all my characters last year so that I wouldn't be tempted to resurrect the series. This was to force myself to create a new world and be original. The first ones were original, story-wise, but I stole shamelessly from everything I ever read, regarding quotes and characters. I have since found that original fiction is a lot more work, but also a lot more fun. Eventually I intend to publish at least one novel, but in the meantime I'm studying to become a teacher.
