Lauren Noyes replies: "I assume youre the same Anonymous as before. The picture is an expression of the pull the extremes of good and evil can have on a single persons inner workings. And honestly, not all art is 'gettable'. Stop putting people down because you dont understand what they are doing."
| 13 Dec 2003 | Anonymous | Loading...I don't think that it is good at all. I think that it looks ugly and stupid. I HATE IT! Lauren Noyes replies: "Well, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but what good do you think you are doing anyone by saying such awful things. If youre going to criticize my work, at least be articulate enough to be constructive. And if you hate it so much, why bother to take the time out of your life to put me down? I think thats sad." | |
| 15 Apr 2004 | Anonymous | Loading...I don't know exactly why, but this really appeals to me. I think it's the solid black shapes. It's all very simple. Ok, time to quit staring. Lauren Noyes replies: "*smile* thank you." | |
| 19 Aug 2004 | Lindsey 'Geeblay' Gabel | Loading...this is cool! I like how you used the face's natural shadows to portray two personalities. My fave is the hair! It is soo hard to draw nice, realistic hair that doesn't look one dimensional... now for the critique part. I have to agree that her hands DO look stiff. They look like cave painting hands. Mabey if you hadd not left one solid black. Mabey left white lines where creases would be, and had them turned slightly in the direction that the head is facing... ((and don't feel bad, hands are positively EVIL to draw correctly)) all in all, this picture was very intriguing, and I like it! Very mod-worthy. Keep it up... Lauren Noyes replies: "Thanks! The hands -are- a bit stiff, but this is an older piece of mine as well, so im not too concerned at this point. I appreciate the constructive criticism. =)" | |
| 15 Oct 2005 | Elvandia | Loading...The contrast of the black and white really add dimension and persoanlity to the piece and totally sets the mood. The style is very classic with a modern twist. Her face seems a little squished, perhaps widening the black area to make a more developed cheekbone could help. Great job and congrats on the mods!=) | |

| 14 Dec 2005 | Matti kemppainen | Loading...Hello there. I like the consept but there are a few things you should think about. The hair and the brades seem a little twodimensional, the ower all proportions are allso a bit off, especially the neck. Allso the eye looks like one of a person who is looking straight forward. I think you should develop it further. | |
| 1 Mar 2006 | Mom | Loading...My personal opinion is that the people who ripped on this pic can't draw and are jealous. Screw you! You suck!
this is a great pic. keep it up!
| 17 Mar 2007 | Chris | Loading...I love this picture. I think it expresses the concept very well. As for those who think it "sucks" or are critiquing likeliness to the real world... it's stylized. Abstractions usually portray the strongest image. | |
