Tag As FavoriteComment		what is the glowing, spiky object? The mother mermaid seems absorbed in what she sees, her baby lies curious but content in the pod that her mother carries her safely in by her tail.

Wow, great take on the 'traditional' mermaid. The baby is really cute and the pod thing is a really original idea. Great colour job too!

I hope he doesn't fall out! Do they have mermaid seat belts? The little leaves/fins on the pouch are the best part. This would make a cool b-day card or something.

I think the purple spiky thing she is reaching for is a sea urchin. Maybe she has some kelp beds that need mowing. Beautiful coloring. Watercolors I presume?=^..^=

It looks like she's still got her "baby fat" from being preggers. And is the baby in a mermaid's purse (the common name for a shark's "pod" or baby case)?
