SciFi and Fantasy Art Eclipse by Laura Lee Young

This is Eclipse, also called Vallah-rrho-She'iir (Sun-in-Darkness) and in her humanoid (haijaarae) form, Darkblade. Hmmm... that's probably too many names for one character to have. Well, this is because her real name (mentally projected images, music, and emotions) is not pronouncable and can't be written. You see, Eclipse is not a normal dragoness. She was a nightmare, from a dimension where reality is a never ending dream. She got herself into some major trouble with some other dream-drakes, and she and her mate were left for dead. Just then Shavahi, who was tinkering with a world-scrying/teleportation spell, finds herself in this strange dream-world, and happens upon the two injured dragons (big coincidence, no?). In the proccess of healing them, Shav accidently fuses herself with Eclipse. They manage to seperate, but the two are now Fatebound (what happens to one, happens to the other, if one dies, they both die, etc.) Sooo.... now 3,000+ yr old, powerful, mean, unpredictable Eclipse is stuck with 19 yr old, introverted, nerdy, stable Shavahi. Can you say odd couple? Oookaaay... about the picture. This is my first real try at colored pencils. Not bad, but she's the wrong color. She's -supposed- to be indigo-black with white-gold accents, not dark brown. Oh well, next pick she'll be the right color. I hope. :)
