O Amergin,

Where are you?

So many years ago

In your great poem

“I am the lure from beyond the world”

You say.

I yearn to grasp you

To take my fantasies

And make them real

I want to walk with the Tuatha de

I want to sing among the trees

I wish to move around Atlantis

And pull Excaliber from the stone

I long to dance among the giants

To live in a world of magic

To see before me my knight

Riding on his silver steed

O Amergin!

Bard, poet, lure…

How do I catch you?

You stay just out of grip

You remain my fantasy.

I like this too! The way you mix in so many stories is interesting. I like Morgan Llywelyn too, I've read "Lion of Ireland", "Pride of Lions", "The Last Prince of Ireland", and "1916". Brian Boru is one of my favorite historical people EVEN THOUGH my ancestors were on the wrong side of him at Kincora.

2 Laura Beth Levinson replies: "Thanks again! I think I've read everything by Morgan Llywelyn that's available...even bought out of print stuff off Ebay. I have an obsession with wanting to live in a bit of a dream world...if you couldn't tell. 2 Not sure if any of my own ancestors were at that battle...I know I'm Irish but don't know the history...only know my Scottish historic ancestory."

I can tell by the above your quite well read like myself - nice to see that you don't mind reading well know tales like King Arthur.

Don't listen to the comment above. I know what it's like to live in dream world (that someone else's stories have helped create) and what it's like when you want to pay your respect to them.

You write what you want!!
