This is a song sung by the faeries about their queen.

The Faerie Queen

Graceful as the silent moon

Lips as red as a rose in June

Eyes as clear as shining dew

And composed of sapphire blue

Her streaming tresses fall to her waist

Her skin warm and soft and heart so chaste

Sweetly perfumed and serene

Stands our noble Faerie Queen

Pure as the winter’s falling snow

Our love and awe can only grow

For our lady so fair and mild

Earth’s daughter and sunshine’s child!

6 Apr 2004	L. Shanra Kuepers	Loading... Okies, now here the html-formatting IS annoying. You can't tell poem from title nor stanza from stanza. It detracts, not adds. Pet peeves aside, let's look on the good part of the poem ^-^ It's very sweet, and the rhyming is very clear and unforced. I like seeing poems with a good rhyme like this, as I'm terrible at it myself. Anyway, the imagery is not so much vivid as it is present. It's hard to explain, but it is a very good thing. Mystical might suffice to say what I mean. It's elusive (sounds much better), just like faeries are.
