Lavilia Starfire Chapter 10 Back to Nivadriel

The Horsemen of Lianohil who already chasing the goblins for burning a village in Lianohil saw the prancing Unicorn and were amazed. None of them has ever seen a unicorn before, and through the mist its rider looked like one of the Vandar, of which they had only heard.

They decided to come closer. From the back they started slaughtering the goblins from the group. The goblins were too busy staring at Milyo who was still prancing and whinnying. When Denny saw the horsemen he smiled, Lavilia and he would have never defeated the goblins on their own.

He also started killing some goblins and they woke up as they had been covered by a spell. Lavilia grabbed Crystal, her magical elfish sword, given to her by Navinarwen who had saved it from Nielanad at the same time she was saved. When Navinarwen saw her father get killed by the elf he had considered as a friend, she had almost dropped it, but the hand of Andiolorwen, the elf who saved the forgotten daughter of Prince Nieno of Nielanad had kept the hand of the young Navinarwen. Crystal was made of pure diamond and it reflected the light of Filothian's creations. It was made by the Chianie before they had left The Lands That Have Left The World, given to the race of elves Navinarwen belonged to by Fionwe, the father of the elf that killed Nieno.

Lavilia cut off a goblinhead with Crystal, Milyo killed goblins with his horn. With the help of the horsemen the goblins were easily defeated. After putting the bodies of the goblins on fire the horsemen looked at the two elves suspiciously. "Who are you?" They asked

"She is Lily of Nielanad, and I am Denialathir Twinkle eye of Maranithor" Denny said "come with us to see our king" The horsemen said "We don't have time, we have to see the white council about what we have seen" Denny protested. Lavilia made some moves with her hands, because Denny had created a language in which they could talk by hand moves. Denny smiled, and looked at the horsemen. Lavilia wrote something on a piece of paper and sealed it with wax and her ring. "Bring this to your kind and tell him the elves haven't forgotten about mankind. May the good will of the Vandar be with you on your journey." Denny said handing the Horsemen the letter.

Lavilia got on Milyo and Denny and she continued the road to Nivadriel, the place where Narolas had his house. Before they reached that, Lavilia lead Denny into the dark woods of Triviaran, to visit Lavinia's grave.

Denny was impressed by the majestic atmosphere of these old trees. He smelled the strong sense of the air. It gave him new courage and he regained his strength.

In the middle of the wood, an open spot, lightened by the sun he and Lavinia met again. He sat down near her grave and cried for all what would have been.

After a while he felt Lavilia's hand on his shoulder. Her eyes begged him to go further. Denny listened to her again, like as in old times. Denny left Triviaran on his own. Lavilia decided to stay and defend Triviaran against the brutality and cruelty of the goblins.

For that the oldest tree asked her to stay in Triviaran and rule the trees, so they could live in piece forever. Lavilia refused, she didn't want to stay for a long time at the same place. The oldest tree asked her to be his contact to the rest of the world. Lavilia did and although she refused to listen to that name the trees called her queen.

Lavilia stayed in the woods of Triviaran, she talked with the birds and the trees. She killed every goblin that came too close to the wood. Eventually she accepted the name queen, but she didn't rule Triviaran. She gave advice, and she was very popular, but she didn't tell the creatures of the Vandar what to do.

Lavilia was brave, goblins believed the forest was cursed and everyone who came too close was killed by the black rider on the white horse. After a while they stopped their attempts to approach Triviaran. Then the attack on Giviano, one of the last standing cities of the free man, came, and Lavilia heard of the alley made between man and elves. She said the trees of Triviaran goodbye after she promised to come back as soon as possible. Then she travelled to Nivadriel.

The night covered Lavilia and Milyo, none of the spies of Faran noticed them. When the sun rose, Lavilia and Milyo crossed the river. The elves who lived on the borders of Nivadriel thought Lavilia was a spy of Faran. They captured her and lead her to Narolas. Narolas recognized her when the elves threw off the cape, but he didn't show his feelings, like none of the elves does in company.

Lavilia looked different than the last time he had seen her. Instead of hanging down, her braid was wrapped around her head. The water of the Triviaran river made her stronger, and off course there was the scarf of the wound Baran had made. It started high on her front head, went over her nose under her right eye to her right ear. It was a red scarf, horrible to look at. In Lavilia's eyes Narolas could see the bitterness, the innocence that caught him when they first met was gone. She looked more powerful then ever.

"So, Lavilia, You have finally decided to come back to Nivadriel, after your disappearance years ago" He said loudly so everyone in the room could hear. Lavilia answered in silence "It wasn't my destiny to bring the elves of Nivadriel in danger. I decided to stay somewhere the spies of Faran don't live. Besides, you knew where I was."

Narolas smiled "You could have gone to The lands that have left the earth" "It isn't in my nature to fly" "Though you did fly away from Faran" "That wasn't for myself" "Now you want to join the war?" "Indeed I do" Lavilia still said telepathic "For revenge?" " No revenge is something for bad thoughts, I am still trying to be a good granddaughter of my grandfather and a good daughter of my mother" Lavilia sighed.

"Welcome back to Nivadriel, Lavilia Thinarwen Starfire" Narolas said

Good story but the unicorn looked more like a normal horse to me

1 Rian Sanderse replies: "Hey Sebastian, I bet you wouldn't say that if you would know him. He is a myth on itself. He has a very own character, but that is not quite noticible in this story. I will tell you whenever there is a story in which he has a more important role. The story of Maeyava or something.Love Rian"

This is your best chapter yet, with some good, lively action. I love the concept of her diamond sword. It's quite unique. 2

2 Rian Sanderse replies: "Hey Norma, Well thank you for being so kind again. The thing about the sword is, that it's unbreakable, which could be quite handy in a war 14
