"Experiment goes well" by Veronika ´Lawenta´ Prokesova

(I hope the title is OK in English :-) )

This is Jaerand, the Lord of the Dark Magic, son of Lya and the lower god of Lyongeas. With a great portion of dark elf´s blood running in his veins, not much suppressed by how he was raised, he became an intelligent, merciless, mostly amoral scholar and scientist. Always fascinated by the powers and nature of his own divine family, one day this question invaded his mind: Do the rules of inbreeding apply for the "race" of gods? And after an every possible attempt to solve this theoretically, he decided to father the child of his own sister.

At first I intended to portray him before this decision, but then I realized only Chasiarri could do his hair in such a silly style and survive it :-) So here he is in his probably happiest months, looking forward for the result of his experiment and still fascinated by his playful lover...

Note: His name has Czech pronunciation, something like Yah-eh-rand ;-)

This image is my very first attempt at colouring B&W picture in computer program (this one in Photoshop), so I didn´t dare to touch his hair, which is supposed to be black. Now after a better part of the year I´m not as satisfied with the result as I was then (especially I hate the tips of his hair), but hey, we´re all learning :-)
