This is Vulcano. I wanted to try a different type of unicorn and this is what I came up with. I know the background needs work and the lighting isn't quite right, but I'll continue practising.. Anyway, tell me what you think! :)

I really love his coloration. And the neck is not too large, draft horses of all sorts have necks like that. Good work on this one.

Actually anonymous person, draft horses have their withers lower sometimes in certain poses. Well, this is one. He looks powerful and seems to be 'ruling' the hill.
I know a lot about horses and drawing them, and you and i have sort of the same style of drawing!!!!!! i might have found a friend in the art world.

1 Linda Kristoffersson replies: "Thank you for all your lovely comments! 1 I'm glad you like the way I draw horses. Too bad you haven't included an e-mail address, I would really love to see how you portrait the equine 2 I'm just hoping you check back here sometime. You're welcome to send me an e-mail if you'd like."

Mmmm i want him. He is gorgeous! Have you considered doing a closeup of his head? Maybe from a different angle? from the thumbnail it looks almost as if he is in armor.

1 Linda Kristoffersson replies: "I'm glad you like him 1 I've never thought of doing a closeup of him but now that you mention it, it would be an interesting thing to do 2 Thank you for commenting!"

WOW, this looks differen't and really neet. I like it a lot. I have a unicorn standing like this on my site sept mine isn't colored in as realistically as yours. I realize I need major practice after looking at this, if there's some book or site or something you looked at to help you get this good I'd love to hear some suggestions. I think I got the basic body shape down for drawing I need to learn the good coloring now. Good work.

This is the most beautiful unicorn I've ever seen. I've always loved Clydesdale unicorns rather than the slim, anorexic sissy ones - you must draw more of him. MUST!! *gives you hypno eyes*

1 Linda Kristoffersson replies: ""Must... draw... more... of... Vulcano..." *looks hypnotized* *shakes head* -Hey, I think your hypno eyes worked! ;D Once I get the time I promise I'll draw more of him 2 Thank you for your nice comment!"

*pokes Steph* you have apparently never met an old sway-backed pony... now THAT is a lot of sway for a short back! this is a very gorgeous animal, any of us would be lucky to lay eyes on such a creature >^-^< I love drawing horses, but I'm afraid that accomplishing the human anatomy has distracted me from such... the stylized ponies are still there though! yay! *ahem* anyways... love your work! many cookies for you!

A bit too much sway, to a very short back.. and a too thick neck. The shire mentioned in your tarot moon picture, doesn't have that thick of a neck, and he's got a thick neck. but yea, that's all I can say. you have such a good gallery.
