I invite you to compare this version of 'Kyta to the older version in this gallery. I think I may have improved just a bit. ;)

Nakyta, as you may be aware, is a snow leopard with very light/bleached out markings, and funky hair. She's the bassist in a band with her husband, son, and daugther-in-law (Elidi, the vocalist). Her preferred bass is a Warwick katana (bolt on neck, custom purple oil finish) and I think I did a decent job on it.

Yes, she is wearing a cross with her pentacle and triple moon. No, this is not as contradictory as you might think.

Drat! Uploaded the wrong file originally, that's what I get for not looking at the full image rather than just checking the thumbnail. I wanted to put the soft shaded one up, not the really lame cell shaded one.

It's great!!! (love cats). So what's with the cross, pentacle and triple moon??? Just a question. Got me curious is all.

:-) Lynn A. Davis replies: "Most people are familiar with the pentacle as a protective symbol that in corporates the four elements (earth, air, water, fire) with fifth element of spirit. But it was also a symbol associated with Venus, which is both the morning and evening star and was thus associated with both the sun and moon through the goddesses associated with those stars.

The triple moon is obviously an association to the moon and, usually with modern neo-pagans, a moon goddess.

The cross was originally equal-armed and associated with the sun and, depending on culture, a sun god or goddess.

So wearing all three at once isn't that contradictory since it boils down to wearing the sun, moon, and a symbol that combines the two into what is, essentially, a symbol for unity and the bond between spirit and earth."

Ok, I KNOW I this is like my third comment on this pic but I finally got a look at your older version of 'Kyta and I definitely agree with you that it has improved a bit.
