SciFi and Fantasy Art #10 Withered Lover - Rogue by Leasa Renee Thomas

Utterly taken for granted in all that she did The Withered Lover cared greatly for her love, but her feelings were not returned. So deep inside her caring nature she did not even notice as she began to deteriorate. She was burned in a terrible fire and died shortly there after in the ambulance. Her lover did not attend the funeral. The Withered Lover travels through Hell looking for anyone to love her, bound and gagged.

My first of 13 in a new series inspired by the Black/Dark Zodiac and Thirteen Ghosts.

Originally I was going to make Rogue the Angry Princess but the Withered Lover seems to suit her more, being an outsider and looking for acceptance but not admitting she wants it. Also how much she has been used, between Apocalypse, Mystique, Magento, Gambit, you name it. Also the fact her crush on Scott went completely unnoticed by him as all he saw was Jean.

If you have any questions get the DVD of 13 Ghosts and watch the list in the book. That's where I got it. It's just a hunch that you're running off the Black Zodiac from 13 Ghosts. Beautiful piece by the way. Great job. Leasa Renee Thomas replies: "I always thought in the movie the Withered Lover is the #12 ghost, being the dead wife and just before he (I can't remember his name, it has been so long since I have seen the movie) turns out to be the #13 ghost, but I wasn't taking this from the movie version, but from information off the net Black/Dark Zodiac. The number of the different ghosts vary depending on where you read it, but when I first learnt of them (before I even knew the movie exsisted) I saw the withered lover as number 10, and that is how she stays for me. Thankies for the comment."
8 Apr 2006	Sandy	Loading... man, you are sadistic...COOOOOOOLLLL..i love what you did to rogue...i think she is a b***h...;> hahahaha.i hate her... Leasa Renee Thomas replies: "What? Nooo! Roguey is my fav! (well apart from in the movie, 'Marie' is just plain wimpy) I love her in her cartoon and comic versions! It's why I do more art on her, because she is my number one Marvel girl. But thankies for the comment anyways, I am semi happy how this turned out. Fingers crossed I get the others done sometime soon."
